Women's Bible Study
September 21 - December 7, 2023
10-week IN-PERSON at Kenwood: Thursdays 9:15-11:00 AM
10-weeks on ZOOM: Tuesdays 7:00 PM OR Thursdays 7:00 PM
Why do you suppose David is mentioned in 28 of the 66 books of the Bible and that his name is mentioned more than 1,000 times? Why was David called “a man after God’s own heart”? Didn’t he do a lot of wrong things? What encouragement can we get from David’s life as we encounter him throughout Scripture? |
Esther was a woman chosen for a specific task at a specific time by the God of Israel. As we study the book and person of Esther, we will explore our unique usefulness as women of God.Is it a single task or a lifetime calling? |
After Jesus ascended to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in His followers. The book of Acts, will show us how the Holy Spirit gave the new church power to live in obedience to Christ and to spread the gospel. Through our study, we hope to better understand the Holy Spirit’s work and to rely more on His power. |
Is the Bible a series of unrelated events to you? It is actually one story – that of a Holy God, the Creator, and His relationship to mankind as told from Genesis (“In the beginning, God”…) through Revelation (“…even so, come, Lord Jesus”). We will visit the entire story in chronological order to discover people, places, and events God has used to accomplish His divine plan. |

R.I.S.E. For Moms
R-Relational I-Intentional S-Spiritual E-Encouragement
R.I.S.E. for moms at Kenwood is kicking off our second year of ministry this month! We are so grateful for the chance to meet and be in community together. Just as a reminder-R.I.S.E. is open to moms of ALL AGES!
R.I.S.E. for moms is a sisterhood at Kenwood Baptist Church that welcomes all moms to experience a deeper relationship with Christ, building friendships in a multigenerational and multicultural community, and empowering one another in the gospel.
The theme for RISE for Moms this year is Abiding in Christ To Bear His Fruit and the theme verse is John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
We are launching our home meetings of the year in our various groups throughout the city (see registration below for more details). Groups will meet twice a month (every other week on the meeting date for the group location).
When you register through the link below, you will have an opportunity to choose your group based on location or day of the week- it is a first-come, first-serve registration, so those registering earlier will likely have a greater chance to receive their first choice. You will get to meet your group facilitator and host team along with your fellow group members at your first in-home September meeting.
