Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Sunday Morning Classes

Fellowship Between Services - We hope you will find your way to the Multipurpose Room for a time to connect with others in the Kenwood family. Each week a different Sunday School class provides refreshments including donuts, fruit and coffee.

College and Career (Conference Rm) for students and young professionals.  The class is studying an overview of the Bible.

Young Adult Community (226) The Young Adult Community is comprised of young adults at various stages – students, singles, married, parents and professionals. We gather to study scripture, support and encourage one another to make Jesus known in our church, city and abroad.

Christian Disciples (234) Empty-nester  couples and singles that meet to learn about a specific book of the Bible with plenty of discussion. Teachers are from within the class and rotate responsibility.

Homebuilders (Chapel) Senior adults led by a rotation of teachers.

Christian Seekers (222/224) This class is comprised of singles and couples around retirement age. Most teacher facilitations involve discussion. Class members are highly involved in outreach to other class members. Class meets every Friday evening for dinner at various locations.

Young Families (226) Study and fellowship for families with young children.

Families Raising Children (211) Study, fellowship and prayer for families with children of all ages.

Bridges of Faith (224) Bridges of Faith is a class of single and married adults mostly in our 40s and 50s. We enjoy lively discussion of the major sermon series with occasional shorter studies on a topic or book of the Bible. We have several leader/teacher/facilitators who get us going but people feel free to jump in with real life situations and application.

M in M Class (234) Frank teaches, reads and opens class for discussion, using the Bible, Daily Bread, the lesson materials and various other sources, including music. Class is structured, yet open for contribution and interaction among members of class. We open and close with prayer.

International Class (Multipurpose Rm.) Members from different ethnic backgrounds study the Bible together.

Student Ministries (Grades 7-12)

Students sit with their family at the 9:30 am service to encourage inter-generational participation in the Kenwood community. During the 11:00 am service volunteer staff member leads students in a Bible discussion time in the youth room. The goal of Sunday mornings is that over time students learn about the Bible: Who wrote it, how the text developed, why we understand it as God’s word, and how students can use the Bible themselves to navigate school, home, part time jobs, sports teams and activities, and friendships.
