NEEDS

North East Emergency Distribution Services is an all volunteer organization with no governmental support, serving more than 1000 people annually with various forms of assistance. NEED is a cooperative group of community churches and civic organizations that care for our neighbors by providing basic emergency assistance.

NEEDS Serves northeastern Hamilton County and members of the participating organizations. Some of the communities served are: Blue Ash, Deer Park, Dillonvale, Evendale, Hazelwood, High Point, Madeira, Montgomery, Rossmoyne, Sharonville, Sycamore Township and Symmes Township.

Services

Food Pantry

Hunger exists even in the most affluent communities. NEEDS provides food baskets to families and individuals in need within our service area. Cash and non-perishable food and personal hygiene items are collected throughout the year from member churches and organizations and from local school children. Perishable food is purchased using cash donations. Contributions of food or cash can be delivered to member organizations or the food pantry.

Emergency Financial Assistance

Many families need all of their resources for day-to-day living. When a crisis or unexpected expense occurs, NEEDS helps with rent, utilities, or medical expenses.

School Supplies

Every child should have the school supplies necessary to succeed in school. In August, NEEDS collects supplies from individuals, local churches and businesses to distribute to schools in our service area. The schools have the supplies available for students throughout the year.

Adopt-A-Family

The Christmas holidays can be a difficult time for some families. NEEDS provides the link between individuals or groups who want to help and families who need help. Adopted families receive gifts for each family member as well as a food basket that includes a holiday meal.
