Kenwood
Baptist
Church
began in 1911 in
Evanston
, near downtown
Cincinnati
, and moved in 1961 to our present location. We have a conservative,
evangelical theology with Bible-based preaching. We hold to the
Scripture as our sole authority.
Our City…
Kenwood Baptist Church lies in Sycamore Township, a growing suburb which offers the amenities of suburban living along with easy access to the attractions of downtown Cincinnati. The cultural, sporting, and historic opportunities of this city exceed those of cities two and three times its size. We at Kenwood Baptist embrace the racial and cultural diversity found throughout Cincinnati and its suburbs. People love living here in Cincinnati and it's a great place to raise a family. Kenwood Baptist is a great place to raise kids in the love and ways of the Lord.
Our Denomination…
Kenwood Baptist Church belongs to the
American Baptist Churches, a historic mainline denomination tracing its
roots to some of the earliest colonists coming to the
New World
for religious freedom. Our spiritual
ancestors pushed for the addition of the Bill of Rights to the
Constitution, and sent the first foreign missionaries from American
soil. We are blessed to have three missionaries from Kenwood on the
field. High on our list of priorities is
the mision field we have here at home in our classrooms and
neighborhoods.
Our Children…
Our children and youth are our primary mission field. Our youth program on Sunday morning and during the
week is active and growing under the leadership of our Youth Pastor.
Our Children's Program gives children and families many opportunities
to grow in Christ under the leadership of our Pastor to Children and Families. We have a fully graded Sunday school, as well as
Wednesday ngiht programs. A large number of our children attend our
denomination's summer camp. Our children's choirs (for ages 3 and up)
practice and sing regularly. Every year we host a Fall Family Festival
on October 31st as an outreach to our community.
